Mark Doherty is urban-gro’s Director of Sales for the Eastern Region of the United States. Doherty’s extensive experience in the East Coast marijuana industry as the founder of MedCann Advisors, coupled with urban-gro’s position as a leading supplier of Cannabis cultivation product solutions provides Eastern Cannabis cultivators with top-notch solutions and support as cultivators begin to grow for this burgeoning market. Prior to establishing MedCann Advisors, Doherty created the Northeast’s first controlled environment agricultural facility using the aquaponic farming method. As a wholesale producer of aquaponic lettuce for the restaurant industry, Aqua Vita Farms garnered national and international attention for its contribution to controlled environment agriculture and sustainable farming. As an advisor and consultant, Doherty has been instrumental in building a foundation of success for dozens of entrepreneurs and startup companies. Mark has over a decade of experience in controlled environment agriculture, hydroponics, aquaponics, food security and distribution. Doherty has been featured in “USA Today,” “City and State Magazine,” “BBC World News” and “Horizons,” which recognized Aqua Vita Farms for its leadership in the future of food production. Doherty earned an associate’s degree in hotel and restaurant management from Paul Smith’s College, as well as a bachelor’s degree in business management and a master’s in business administration from the State University of New York Institute of Technology. As legalization marches down the East Coast, Cannabis producers need urban-gro’s core expertise in lighting solutions, integrated pest management, fertigation and water treatment.

Mr. Greiper is the president and founding partner of Viridian Capital Advisors. He has had a distinguished 20-year career in the technology, security, and IT sectors as both a research analyst and investment banker. Mr. Greiper is also the president and founder of Secure Strategy Group, which provides capital, strategic advisory, and M&A services to growth companies in the technology, security, and IT markets. Previously, Mr. Greiper was a principal and senior analyst at C. E. Unterberg, Towbin, where he covered public companies in the global security industry and was consistently ranked as one of the top analysts in the sector. He has been involved in raising more than $400 million for both public and private companies and has completed a range of M&A assignments. Mr. Greiper attended the Executive MBA program at Columbia University and holds a B. A. in economics from the University of Chicago. He holds FINRA Series 7, 63, and 79 licenses.

Marc J. Ross is a founding member of Sichenzia Ross Friedman Ference LLP. Since the firms inception in 1998, Mr. Ross has developed a broad based securities and commercial litigation and arbitration practice. Mr. Ross regularly represents clients across the country appearing in federal and state courts on behalf of clients from routine lawsuits to highly complex federal securities cases, including high-profile multi-district class actions. Mr. Ross has handled numerous commercial litigation matters  (including breach of contract and intellectual property litigation) and regularly represents clients in arbitration proceedings before the various regulating agencies and the American Arbitration Association. Mr. Ross teaches the first law school course on marijuana at Hofstra University School of Law titled Business and Law of Marijuana, where he introduces students to the rapidly-developing legal environment surrounding marijuana and marijuana-related businesses. Mr. Fitzpatrick is hyper focused on the Cannabis Industry, bringing three decades experience where he secured in crafting creative solutions to complex opportunities. He has international executive business experience where he secured $8M CapEx driving growth of Japan, combined with an entrepreneurial spirit building the largest chain of Eco Car Washes in Sothern California. While with Johnson & Johnson, Mr. Fitzpatrick lead a team to prepare Southern California Retailers for Rx to OTC switches of billion prescription drugs, now available OTC. Skilled as a Land Use Expert, believes in solid Policy development and intelligent implementation, Political Strategy, Regulatory Schemes for Nuisance Uses. Mr. Fitzpatrick is also active in life sciences, social media, technology, water, waste water and alternative energy. Mr. Fitzpatrick graduated from the University of Notre Dame, is a former elected official and recently retired Chairman of the Costa Mesa Planning Commission.

Matthew (Matt) Karnes, CPA has over 20 years of diverse finance and accounting experience. Prior to founding GreenWave Advisors LLC, Matt worked in equity research focusing on the Radio Broadcasting and Cable Television industries for First Union Securities. Matt also covered Satellite Communication at SG Cowen and in addition, worked with the top ranked Consumer Internet analyst at Bear Stearns & Co – this team was consistently recognized by the Institutional Investor’s “All America Research Team”.  As a sellside equity analyst, Matt authored and co-authored numerous emerging industry research reports including such names as Google, Sirius, XM Satellite Radio, DIRECTV and EchoStar Communications.  In his most recent role, Matt was Principal and Senior Equity Analyst at Bull Path Capital Management, a New York City based hedge fund, where he was responsible for investment strategies of emerging technologies primarily within the Technology, Media and Telecom sectors. Senator Daylin Leach (D-Montgomery/Delaware) is the leading progressive voice in the Pennsylvania legislature. He has championed important causes including marriage equality, repeal of the Voter ID law, environmental stewardship, redistricting reform, and campaign finance reform. First elected to the Pennsylvania General Assembly in the fall of 2002, Senator Leach has successfully shepherded many of his proposals through the legislative process, including measures to introduce hybrid cars into the state fleet and provide, for the first time, state funds for breast and ovarian cancer screening for low-income women. A life-long tinkerer, Stephen Keen salvaged his first 4-wheeler at 7 years old. Keen attended Texas State Technical College, where he learned the ins and outs of complex mechanical systems. In 2007, Keen co-founded Hydro Innovations with one goal: to improve methodology and efficiency in controlled environment agriculture. He also served as the chief cultivation expert for one of Colorado’s largest MMC operations prior to recreational legalization. As a 14 year veteran of the industry and an expert controlled environmental agriculturalist, Keen has developed an impressive IP portfolio and manufactured many unique products that are setting a new standard for cultivation climate efficiency.

Mike Bologna, co-founder of Green Lion Partners, has a comprehensive background in supply chain technology and business process consulting. In addition to running GLP’s projects, he is a board member of Gorilla Boost coco coir, he is also a trusted advisor for leading cannabis companies like FlowHub and Whoopi & Maya, is a member of the ArcView Selection Committee and an equity partner of Electrum Partners.

For the past ten years, James served in a managerial capacity leading operational, marketing and business development teams at PTC, a $1.3b global software technology company serving the manufacturing sector.  James previously owned several Culligan Water Conditioning franchises in New England over an 11 year period.  In 2002, James earned his BA and MBA from Boston College. For CannaKorp, James has been instrumental in developing the formal business plan, pro-forma, investor relations and early customer feedback process.

Zeyead Gharib is an R&D Chemist at MyDx; he and the MyDx team are on a mission to help everyday people Trust & Verify what they put into their minds and bodies. In 2015, Zeyead received an American Chemical Society certified Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from the University of Pittsburgh. With a primary focus on analytical chemistry, Zeyead has experience with a variety of laboratory instruments and techniques and has clocked over 500 hours in the professional laboratory setting. In 2013, as a volunteer researcher in the Neurology Department, Zeyead assisted with basic surgeries and laboratory maintenance. In 2014, he introduced an independent project titled Whiskey Business wherein the determination of certain flavor compounds in various brands of whiskey was achieved. Whiskey Business was subsequently incorporated into the official University of Pittsburgh Analytical Chemistry Lab Manual and is being prepared for publication in the Journal of Chemical Education before the end of the year. Currently, Zeyead is working on advancing MyDx’s existing CannaDx sensor, interpreting the resulting data, and on developing MyDx’s new line of sensors (AquaDx, AeroDx, and OrganaDx).

Dr. Ross holds a Doctorate in Neuroscience from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center and has researched addiction, mental health, and psychopharmacology for over 10 years. She has a Bachelors in Psychology from Boston College, and worked as a Postdoctoral Research Scholar at the California Institute of Technology (Caltech) before she appeared on Big Brother. Dr. Ross is a proud member of the International Cannabinoid Research Society (ICRS), National Cannabis Industry Association, Americans for Safe Access, and the Colorado Cannabis Clinicians. David Casarett MD MA is a palliative care physician and health services researcher whose work focuses on improving systems of care for people with serious, life-threatening illnesses. He is a tenured Professor of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania Perelman School of Medicine, a faculty member of Penn’s Department of Medical Ethics and Health Policy, and Director of Hospice and Palliative Care for the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Casarett is the author of more than 100 articles in journals including JAMA and The New England Journal of Medicine, and his writing has appeared in print and online in Salon, Esquire, Discover, and Wired. He is a recipient of the Presidential Early Career Award for Scientists and Engineers, the highest honor given by the US government to researchers in the early stages of their careers. Dr. Casarett is also the author of three non-fiction books, the most recent of which was Stoned: A Doctor’s Case for Medical Marijuana, published in 2015 by Penguin Random House. His first novel in the Ethical Chiang Mai Detective Agency series, Murder in the House of Rooster Happiness, will be published in July, 2016.

As a recognized leader in the understanding and treatment of the complexity of pain, Dr. Gottlieb is a highly qualified and thoroughly conscientious, Board-Certified Medical Physician who is dedicated to one basic principle: Compassionate, conservative pain management. He works with each individual patient to customize a pain treatment program that delivers results that help achieve a better quality of life.

Dr. Abood’s laboratory is investigating synthetic and endogenous cannabinoids (endocannabinoids) and their cellular cannabinoid receptors. The endocannabinoid system is thought to play a role in addiction, pain control, motor control, learning, and memory, as well as in regulating immune function and cancer. Her studies are designed to elucidate the molecular mechanisms of cannabinoid receptor action. In addition, her laboratory has also focused on identifying novel cannabinoid receptor subtypes. She was recently awarded the Mechoulam Award; which is given by the International Cannabinoid Research Society to a distinguished established scientist who has made continued meritorious, significant, and widely recognized contributions to cannabinoid and endocannabinoid research that have moved the discipline forward.

As a resident physician in preventive medicine at the Johns Hopkins School of Public Health, Dr. Malik Burnett works to advance the broader drug policy reform agenda with the goal of shifting US drug policy from framework based on criminal justice to one based on public health. He successfully co-chaired the Initiative 71 campaign, a ballot measure legalizing the possession of cannabis in the Nation’s Capital, garnering the support of 70% of voters as a policy manager at the Drug Policy Alliance’s Office of National Affairs. He continues to work with the local and state governments to advance drug policy reform legislation around the country.
